“I took an aerial class with Yvette for a bachelorette party. She was extremely responsive when scheduling and getting back to any questions I had. this was a super fun experience and Yvette is an excellent teacher. I always felt comfortable with the moves and she was so patient with how uncoordinated I was. lol. I would definitely recommend taking a class with her and I hope to do it again soon.”

About

We are currently in the process of moving to the Erskine, MN, and would be delighted to offer small group aerial arts lessons for both youth and adults alike. Below we’ll share a little more about what we’re thinking.

Aerial Silks: This is a fantastic and challenging apparatus is best suited for adventurous spirits. Aerial silks are versatile in that we can offer beginner level instruction on a very low knot and then start to dip our toes into the split panel footlocks and various wraps. Pre-requisites: must be at least 9 years of age, and be able to lift the knee with a flexed foot comfortably to 90 degrees. (balance and hip mobility). At this time I have a tripod with a single rigging point that reaches 16-20 feet that I will have available for instruction outdoors, but I am currently on the search for an indoor space that is ideally around 16-22 feet for the colder months.

Aerial silks- what to expect: an age appropriate warmup on the ground followed by warmups in the fabrics. A range of skills may include: wraps, climbs, footlocks, hip keys.

Pole: This apparatus is the most beginner friendly and most popular with women of all ages, especially moms who are looking into getting back into a fitness routine that is both fun and empowering. There are no requirements for this class. What to expect: a warmup on the ground followed by warmups on the pole. A range of skills may be taught including: pirouettes, spins, sits, holds, and climbs. Oftentimes we will have time to piece together a small routine even in the first class.

For all classes: there is no weight limit. We limit lessons to three people because we currently only have one apparatus of each. In my previous life I owned and operated an aerial studio, and my absolute favorite was teaching intro level classes on silks and pole.
